Touch not our Jesus – Owusu-Bempah's church members
Members of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International Members of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International have issued a stern warning to the police to stay away from their leader, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah or face their wrath.
They expressed disappointment in the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for inviting the founder and leader following the prophecy he made concerning Nana Akufo-Addo.
Some of the angry members who thronged the headquarters of the CID described the man of God as their 'second Jesus' and therefore should not be taken for granted.
“If Jesus isn’t around, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah is the second Jesus. If the CID dares invite him over for the second time, the anger of God will deal with them,” they said.
Rev Owusu-Bempah had prophesied that some assailants had planned to assassinate the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, ahead of this year’s elections.
However, he recently told a radio station that God did not reveal the identities of the people behind the assassination plot.
The police subsequently invited him to explain the prophecy since it is deemed as a threat to the nation.
But church members who besieged the CID office said Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy is the outcome of a spiritual encounter, suggesting that since he will be engaging the police on the physical plane, his explanations might not make sense.
“Ghanaians should not tempt him for curses will rain on them. Our prophet is not after material things, he is just to teach and declare the works and prophecies of God,” the church members cried.
