Reporter Sacked For Defrauding Man Of God

After struggling to purge themselves of the sodomy scandal, the Upper East Regional Correspondent of the Daily Guide newspaper, Ebo Bruce Quansah, has been sacked as Programmes Manager of Bolgatanga-based A-One Radio for defrauding a man of God of GHc1, 500.

The Daily Guide reporter issued a fake receipt covering GHc1, 500 to Pastor Wiredu, the Head Pastor of Liberty Church in Bolgatanga and pocketed the money. A source told this paper that the man of God bought air time to propagate the gospel of Christ but the purpose on which he paid the airtime was never accomplished, since the Daily Guide reporter swindled him by issuing a fake receipt and pocketed the money.

A reliable source told this paper that when the conduct of Ebo Bruce Quansah was reported to Senior Managers of the radio station they quickly dismissed him. The source indicated that after engaging in the fraudulent act, the Daily Guide reporter vehemently denied of any wrong doing although it was evidently clear he really issued a fake receipt and pocketed the money. The source who confided in this paper, expressed utter shock and surprise about the conduct of Ebo Bruce Quansah since it came at the hills of a sodomy scandal that hit the pro-NPP newspaper. It can be recalled that one Ohene, said to be the nephew of Hon. Freddie Blay and an employer at the printing department of Daily Guide, was reported in some sections of the media to have allegedly sodomised a primary school boy whose name was withheld for being a minor.

Investigations established that the victim is the son of a petty trader who sells roasted yam near the Nima premises of the Daily Guide newspaper. According to the publication, Ohene struck a friendship with the little boy and succeeded in luring him with sweet promises and ended up wrecking the anus of the victim through sodomy. As the pain from the act became unbearable the little boy reported his ordeal to his mother.

Investigations further revealed that when the mother of the minor confronted Hon. Freddie Blay, the former MP for Ellembelle, over the incident, he requested that the issue be settled at home since he (Blay) does not want it to be out in the public domain.

All efforts were made by Hon. Freddy Blay, owner of the Daily Guide newspaper through powerful contacts to ensure that the matter did not see the light of day. -END-
