Four men are in the hospital waiting room because their wives are having babies on fathers day. A nurse goes up to the first guy and says, “Congratulations! You’re the father of twins.”
“That’s odd,” answers the man. “I work for the Minnesota Twins!”
A nurse says to the second guy, “Congratulations! You’re the father of triplets!”
“That’s weird,” answers the second man. “I work for the 3M company!”
A nurse tells the third man, “Congratulations! You’re the father of quadruplets!”
“That’s strange,” he answers. “I work for the Four Seasons hotel!”
The last man is groaning and banging his head against the wall. “What’s wrong?” the others ask.
“I work for 7 Up!”

This title will not attract ghanaweb readers simply because they don't know what got started one day from the title alone. If you argue that it is to prick their curiosity so they can read it, then you're deceiving yourself. Ghanaweb readers don't have time to be checking an article to see if it's interesting. There're many articles to read and they simply move on to an article whose title promises them what they may be interested in.

What it did not mention is the "run away fathers" the author should have addressed that.
All in all a good read, well written.

There are many visitors to ghanaweb who want to read serious well-written articles without insults. Even these people need to be attracted by a good title. Because many of the articles here are about politics and insults, readers need to know from the title what, exactly, the article is about. They want to avoid articles that will invite insults. That's why the writer has to assure them right from the title of the article.
My advice to this writer is to let the reader know what the article is about from the title, to make the title attractive without being sensational. This is important especially on ghanaweb where there can be 20 articles to choose from. People are led by the titles of the articles...

Jonas, let me ask you a question, did an alarm prick you to read this article or you read after you saw the title?
The same way your attention was drawn to read the article, that is how others will also read it. what you are use to is title's like "Nana Addo insults Mahama" and when you read the article you find nothing of that sort in it. Get use to meaningful titles and contents and not insults. take your unnecessary criticism somewhere else and lets enjoy good articles. Good day.

Yes, I agree with you. The quality of the language is good and it flows well. It is easy to tell that the lady writer has been well brought up by her father(s). Her understanding of life and the lucid expression of her thoughts in her narrative give testimony to her broad-mindedness.
I would however have wished that the article was a little longer to include a deeper analysis of the on-going - or rather, the never-ending misapprehensions and conflicts between fathers and mothers. These have led to a situation where today, the once strong bonds in the family system, particularly in Africa where it is most evident and needed, is now in tatters. Could this be because of the influences of foreign cultures? Or is it simply because of the socio-economic pressures that the so-called demands of modern society has imposed on all of us?
It would be interesting to extend the subject for further exploration and analysis. I wish all men and fathers - all fathers, well, today.
I again congratulate lady Abena for her master-piece and hope that we will read her again in the near future.

The lesson to be learnt here is that our policy-makers should minimize the influence of certain 'foreign' ideologies or concepts(dogged feminism),and instead focus on reviving ideas like,"Agyabi wua, agyabi tease" which put less stress on the state.

All the men I know, including yours truly, came from the womb of a woman. The same can be said of all living things. I believe somewhere along the way, God corrected his mistake about procreation.
