In an act of charity that was reported last Monday by no less a renowned news hostess RACHEL MADDOW on her MSNBC news program, Sulley Ali Muntari was reported to have gone to a poor neighbourhood in the Brazilian town after their match with the Germans, and given out cash to the poor and needy. Rachel was full of praise for Muntari, and as a Ghanaian living here in the US, I couldn't have been more proud.
Where were our journalists to cover this story? Instead of reporting the the good deeds of our teams and players, we are again stuck with news about the stinking mess being created by a very inefficient GFA and Sports Ministry.
Muntari, you won my heart with your wonderful display of soccer last Saturday, but I am awed by your selflessness as a philanthropist. Keep up the good work. God bless you.
