Kumahor is saying this be a use they now want to restrict MTN, Vodafone, TIGO and AIRTEL on the day of elections like they did in 2012. NDC has a central communication equipment to transmit their messages to their central control room, supported by national security and Huawei. If you could recall, on Dec. 7th and 8th 2012, signals of MTN and Vodafone were jammed as well as Oman FM. Now Peace FM is also a target.

The security services are supposed to be neutral. However, those in command support the governing party. All opposition parties must just mark those people of the services who misbehave during the course of elections. It may not happen this year but when the tide changes they can be prosecuted and sent to jail. The same thing applies to electoral officers and all staff of electoral commission. Anybody who is proved to have knowingly done wrong things to favour one party or the other must be tried and sent to jail. This is one way we can sustain genuine democracy in this country.

Everyday we all see police officers blatantly taking money from drivers for minor traffic offenses. That should be the primary focus of the IGP, not shutting down social media on Election day.

Police should stay neutral in politics. However, in Ghana, or Africa as a whole, that is not the case. It's all due to how we were brought up. We have to lie or follow the strong to survive. The police and the court have failed Ghana. Not a single police station in Ghana that one will lodge a complain without paying bribe. We are struggling to do a simple things that other countries find it so easy to do. It is a big shame.

It's heart warming hearing this. The Police should know that they are not serving the interest of any individual neither are they serving the interest of any institution. The Police is a national institution serving the interest of Ghana. One major responsibilty of the police is to work to facilitate the progress of Ghana's democracy. At times one is inclined to believe that the police do not understand the spirit of our current constitution and democratic process.
The police (ranging from the lowest constable to the IGP) need to undergo refresher courses on democratic policing. What the police should know is that Ghana has moved away from the days of arbitrariness. We are no more in the days of Nkrumah's PDA and the dictatorial regimes of Acheampong, Akuffu and Rawlings. We are now in a democracy. The Police must learn lessons to understant processes and norms of democracy.
