That borrowing you mention is part of that conformity - to revere and copy the "white man". The author, actually, is showing the critical, outside-the-box analytical thinking Africa so badly needs.

Very apt and pointed: "Dear reader, you must resolve to do what feels right instead of what feels easy." In Ghana it is most challenging and daunting to do "what feels right instead of what feels easy"!
