Tom Strand has finally shown the pressure mounting him as head coach of Accra Great Olympics by questioning the commitment level of the supporters of the club.
The Blue-and-White’s poor 2016/17 Ghana Premier League campaign continued as they tasted their fifth defeat of the season with a slim 2-1 away loss to Tema Youth.
And the loud Agosuo fans made their frustrations known as they lashed out at the playing body and the Swedish trainer – whose appointment was met with displeasure by section of the fans who had fallen in love with then player-head coach, Godwin Attram.
“I will like to tell those fans who act [abuse] the team in defeat are not the real fans; the fans who support the team in times of difficulty are the real fans,” a disappointed Strand told the media.
The 1974 premier league champions remain in 14th place and will have to revive their season quickly to avoid a return to the division one.
