I am the man Roosevelt saw ‘in the arena’ - Amidu tells Vetting Committee

Mr Martin Amidu, President Nana Akufo Addo’s nominee for the Office of the Special Prosecutor has declared himself as “the man in the arena” who has Ghana at heart and is working to redeem what the country has lost over the years since the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana came into force.

“I’m muddying myself for Ghana, I have been doing this for long and will continue to do so whether my nomination is approved or not. I don’t care about criticism or who takes the credit, I will fight for this country at all levels”, he charged.

Mr Martin Amidu encouraged people to ‘google’ and read about ‘the man in the arena’.

Citizenship in a Republic is the title of the main speech given by the former President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt , at the Sorbonne in Paris, France on April 23, 1910.

One notable passage on page seven of the 35-page speech is referred to as “The Man in the Arena”.
