We’ll not experience ‘dumsor’ in Ghana again

We need to diversify the sources of generation and incentivise the massive adoption of renewables especially solar, to further drive down the tariff cost which would have a beneficial effect on the overall cost of doing business in the country and make our market and products competitive.
It's about roi and a marginally healthy profit in the current investment climate for business. The inertia in making this free source of generation work for us, in building capacity, creating other revenue streams, employment opportunities etc is mind-boggling. There must be strong action on that front. Supplying about 13 million LED lights although laudable, does not address the fundamental critical issue. We need excess bulk energy to fuel and juice industrialisation on a large scale, and solar provides a means to achieving that whilst lighting up the whole country. There should be strong movement in this regard.
