Asante Kotoko returned from Sogakope with one point against WAFA SC in the Ghana Premier League.
It was the academy side who drew first blood as early as the third minute when Aminu Mohammed whipped in a stupendous free-kick.
The Manchester City-bound player was fouled close to the box and he delivered one of his trademarks.
After 18 minutes, Kotoko drew level courtesy, Yakubu Mohammed, when he directed Jordan Opoku's shot into the net.
Chances were few in the second half but Kotoko will be indebted to goalkeeper Felix Annan who pulled some wonder saves to keep the scoreline at one-all.
