Ghana defender Daniel Opare says his new club Royal Antwerp are ready for the Belgian top flight after the opening day win.
Opare, who played the entire duration of the match day 1 win over Charleroi says he joined the Red and White for the challenge in Belgium.
Following, the victory against Charleroi, the 27-year-old indicated the team and the players are up for the new campaign.
"This is the reason why I came here, I can see the mentality of the team and everything. I think everybody is ready. The Coach, the players, the Board. Everybody is ready, the team is ready which is very important,' he said in a post-match interview.
Sambou Yatabaré, the Malian midfielder on loan from Werder Bremen, scored the only goal of the encounter in the 15th minute to kick-start Royal Antwerp’s 2018/19 campaign with a win on the road.
