Royal Antwerp forward William Owusu Acheampong is delighted after receiving his debut Black Stars call-up.
The 28-year-old has been included in Coach Kwesi Appiah's 18-man squad for the forthcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
“I don’t know how to express it but I am really glad and delighted about my call-up for the national team. It has been a dream for a while. You know it’s the dream of every player to represent the national team so it is such a wonderful welcoming news for me, I am really glad and I thank God,” an elated Owusu told SportsworldGhana.com
”I think it’s God’s time, I am just happy to be in the squad and I also thank you all for following my progress over the years,” added the lanky striker.
Owusu has scored one goal in four appearances this season.
