A change in key personnel in the management of Aduana Stars is expected following their disastrous end to their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The Ghanaian champions were clobbered 6-0 in their final group game of the continental competition by Raja Casablanca on Wednesday.

The defeat sees Aduana finish last in the group with a paltry four points with Raja and AS Vita progressing to the knockout stages.

Club owner Nana Agyeman Badu II who is said to be enraged by his side’s poor showing is expected to make sweeping changes in his management team.

Chief Executive Officer Albert Commey according to multiple will be the major casualty of the changes expected.

Aduana’s heavy defeat has been widely attributed to their poor travel arrangement.

The Fire club made the trip with only 14 players.

A number of these players were also said to have suffered from food poisoning as they traveled to Casablanca with food from Ghana which the players reportedly ate when it had gone bad.

Operations Manager of Aduana Stars George Gyawu admits the club needs a ‘new direction’.

“Our performance yesterday was very bad,, I believe it’s about time for the team to get new direction,” he posted on his Facebook page.

A meeting is expected to be held between the club owner and management members after which changes are expected.

Aduana qualified to represent Ghana initially in the CAF Champions League having emerged champions in the local league.

They were however unable to qualify to the group phase of the Champions League and dropped into the Confederation Cup.
