Agyemang Badu calls for Essien and Kevin's return
Black Stars midfielder Agyemang Badu is urging the Football Association to lure Kevin Prince Boateng and Michael Essien back to the Black Stars for future tournaments.
The Udinese midfielder who missed two of the Black Stars matches at the just ended Nations Cup due to injury believes that both players still have a lot to offer the team.
“Everyone needs players like them and if Kevin says he will play why not because any coach, even Carlo Ancelloti will never hesitate to work with these two players since they are world class players”. He told JOY Sports
“For Essien I’m 85 percent sure he will return but Kevin I can’t tell but I will try and talk to him”.
Michael Essien and Prince Boateng missed the last edition of the Nations Cup for various reasons.
Essien asked to be excused from international duty and recently resumed playing for his club Chelsea after nursing an aggravated knee injury for nine months.
Kevin Prince Boateng on the other hand cited personal reasons for ending his international career.
