Ghana captain Andre Ayew staged a stupendous outing on Tuesday evening after hitting the back of the net twice to power Swansea City to an amazing win over Northampton in the Carabao Cup after coming from the bench.
The 30 year old proved his critics wrong after ending his summer transfer discussion table with two spectacular goals from the bench to seal a second round spot for the Swans.
Mathew Warburton gave Northampton the lead on the hour mark after a thrilling stalemate in the opening stanza of the game.
Head coach of the Swansea City introduced the Ghana skipper, Ayew into the game and he responded with two powerful headers separated by Geoge Byers’ stunning goal.
Ayew pulled parity with 10 minutes to end regulation time and ended the game as a contest with his second on the night just 8 minutes later.
