AshantiGold to battle Equatorial Guinea club Akonangui FC in CAF Confederation Cup

AshantiGold have been drawn against Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea at the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Miners will play the first leg away on the weekend of (9-11th August), before returning to Obuasi for the reverse fixture on the weekend of (23-25th August).

Ashgold grabbed the sole ticket to represent Ghana at this year’s Confederation Cup after winning the GFA Normalization Committee Tier II Special Cup.
