Deputy Sports Minister, Perry Okudzeto (m) interacting with the CAF Inspection team
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspection team led by its Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Anthony Baffoe has inspected the various facilities for the forthcoming Women’s Cup of Nations to be staged in Ghana next month.
The six-member team inspected on-going works at the Accra and Cape Coast Sports Stadia and other training pitches in the region and outlined some recommendations to the LOC for the tournament next month.
After the inspection, the team interacted with the officials of the LOC where the Deputy Minister, Hon. Perry Curtis Okudzeto assured the team of government's determination to host a successful tournament.
He stated that his Ministry is working tirelessly with the Local Organizing Committee to meet the deadline for the commencement of the tournament.
Present at the inspection was the LOC Chairperson, Hon. Freda Prempeh and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kofi Nsiah. Others are Deputy Minister for Greater Accra Region, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey, Deputy Central Regional Minister, Hon. Thomas Adjei-Baffour, Efutuhemaa and Krontihemaa of Oguaaman, Nana Amba Eyiibaa and some officials of the LOC and VLOCs.
