Ahead of Asante Kotoko CAF Champions League game against Etoile Du Sahel, Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has urged Asante Kotoko to get a wide margin in the first leg if they want the second leg to become less difficult.
Kotoko will host Tunisian giant Etoile Du Sahel on Sunday, September 15th at the Baba Yara stadium before travelling to Tunisia for the second leg.
Kwesi Appiah who was part of the side that last won the competition for the club urged the players to do everything possible to win the game, he also advised them to win with a big margin in order to make the second leg a mere formality.
“The Caf champions league is sometimes difficult and Etoile du Sahel is also a very experienced side.
“Playing at home Asante Kotoko have to do everything possible to ensure victory and achieve this it will be important everyone puts in his best.
“Asante Kotoko should also try to get a wide margin win so to make the 2nd leg encounter less difficult,” He told Angel FM Sports
Kwesi Appiah also called on the fans of the club to be patient with the team when the going get tough.
“The current Asante Kotoko squad is very huge and the will have to get cohesion, it always take time to get the needed cohesion.
“The fans have to be patient even if the going gets tougher so that the players will be encouraged to put up their best” He opined.
