Spanish sides Real Valladolid and Getafe have joined in the chase for Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso in the on-going summer transfer window, according to reports.
Footballghana.com reported that the 29-year-old was heavily linked to Getafe following his impressive performance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Wakaso has a year remaining on his current contract with Deportivo Alaves and the club are willing to let him go at the right fee ahead of the start of next season.
Footballghana.com understands that he may be surplus to requirement for Alaves in the coming season as he is not part of the coach Asier Garitano plans.
He featured in 29 games in the 2018/19 season for Deportivo Alaves, where he scored one goal and registered one assist.
