Premier Club, Accra Hearts of Oak, left the capital on Tuesday for a secret camp on the outskirts of Cape Coast in the Central Region ahead of Sunday’s crucial Normalisation Committee Tier 1 semi-final clash against sworn rivals, Asante Kotoko, at the Accra Stadium.
According to a Graphic Sports Online source, the Phobians arrived in the Central Regional capital on Tuesday evening to finalise their preparations for the big game.
Players and officials of the club are reported to be lodging at the newly-opened Virgin City Hotel which is situated off the Cape Coast-Twifo Praso road.
The source said the Phobians will train at the Amissano Catholic Seminary under the tutelage of Coach Kim Grant.
It is believed that the camping site was recommended by Coach Kim Grant who hails from Cape Coast and also served Ebusua Dwarfs and Elmina Sharks as a technical director before joining Hearts.
Hearts are scheduled to return to Accra on Saturday for the crucial match.
Meanwhile, Kotoko also left Kumasi for their favourite Asante Mampong camping base on Monday.
“Heading to Asante Mampong! We are on a bus to Asante Mampong for a 4-day training camp,” the club announced via Twitter on Monday.
“Meanwhile...We have arrived in Asante Mampong for our training camp #AKSC,” the club twittered a few hours later.
Kotoko are due to travel to Accra early on Sunday for the match.
