Hearts of Oak have rubbished reports suggesting that head coach Kim Grant is unhappy and want to depart the club following the departure of Mark Noonan.
The Phobians have insisted that Kim Grant is happy with the club and is still at post, calling their supporters and sympathizers to debunk the reports.
Reports emerged in the early hours of Monday that the former Black Stars striker is unhappy with the turn if events following the departure of the American CEO of the club.
The reports further indicated that Grant wanted to leave because he feels unsecured with the departure of the man who employed him as the coach of the club.
But in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the club, Kwame Larbi Opare Addo, there is no truth in those reports circulating and must be disregarded.
“The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited wishes to appeal to the general sporting public, especially the team’s followers to disregard all media reports making rounds that the club’s Director of Football and First Team head coach, Kin Grant will not return to the vlubbas the head of the technical team,” the statement read.
The statement also affirmed Kim Grant’s willingness to work with the Phobians.
“We wish to remind our followers that Kim Grant is committed to the Hearts of Oak project and delighted, and ready to work with the new CEO Frederick Moore whom he has already had productive discussions with to bring success to the club,” the statement added.
This will come as a huge relief to the followers of the club as they recently announced the departure of the CEO Mark Noonan and reports of Kim Grant’s departure would have obviously been a huge blow to them.
Grant has so far played 14 games with just a defat since taking over the technical department of the club.
