Hearts of Oak to host Unistar Academy on Sunday
Accra Hearts of Oak are scheduled to play Unistar Soccer Academy at the Round of 16 stage of the Normalistaion Committee’s (NC) Special Competition tier 2 competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Phobians will be hoping to making to the quarter final stage of the competition by going past the division one league side at their favourite stadium.
Having eliminated Uncle T United with a 4-2 victory at home last Thursday, Hearts are bent on using the competition as a preparatory ground towards their upcoming semi-final tier 1 clash against arch rivals Asante Kotoko on June 16.
The match is expected to kick off at 3pm with coach Kim Grant leaving no stone unturned in his quest to win laurels for the Phobians.
Hearts confirmed their Round of 16 fixture with Unistar Soccer Academy on their Twitter handle as they look to have their supporters fill the stadium.
Coach Grant’s decision to field most of his first team stars proved his seriousness about the competition and the likes of skipper Abdul Fatawu, Joseph Esso, Manaf Umar, Michelle Sarpong, William Dankyi, Richmond Ayi, Benjamin Afutu and Christopher Bonney among others could be fielded to avoid any danger.
