George Afriyie insists he remains at post as the chairman of the Black Stars management committee despite directives from the government White Paper for him to vacate the position. The state in accepting with modifications recommendations made by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry has barred George Afriyie, Felix Ansong and Emmanuel Gyimah from working with any of the national teams.
But George Afriyie says he remains at post until the six month period elapses for the White Paper to become the ruling of a High Court.
“I continue to be chairman of the Black Stars management Committee,” he said.
“Everyone saw me working on Sunday during the match and no one hindered me in doing my job.
“Until the White Paper becomes law I remain at post.”
