Former Asante Kotoko coach and Sports Analyst, Isaac 'Opele' Boateng says he will prefer a dog lead the Black Stars team than bringing in a foreigner to coach the team.

The ex-Ghana U-17 assistant coach was outraged by reports the GFA is in talks with an expatriate to take over the Black Stars job, after the technical team of the national team was dissolved.

“Those who were crusading that Kwesi Appiah should be sacked and replace him with an expatriate coach have done a disservice to this country. What I want to tell them is that not all of us are deaf and dumb,' he stated on Asempa FM.

“I will prefer to see a dog coaching the Black Stars than to bring in an expatriate coach because some people feel they own the country but that analogy must be quenched,” he added.

Appiah's contract with the national team expired in December but the new FA refused to hand him a new deal, opting to scrap the entire coaching staff.

A new coach for the senior national team will be announced soon as the search for a new gaffer continues.
