Ghana striker Jordan Ayew continued his hot-streak form for Crystal Palace as they pipped Watford 1-0 in the English Premier League at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Ayew has been the live-wire for the Eagles in the ongoing season, having scored 7 goals ahead of their game against the Hornets.
The Ghana international sneaked in a lone goal last week in the side’s victory at Brighton.
The 28-year-old frontman came to fore again when needed most as he powered home from 20 yards to give the London-based side the opener in the 28th minute.
James McArthur played in a square pass into the path of Ayew, who turned magnificently before bending the ball straight into the right side of the goal.
Watford improved greatly in the second half but couldn’t find the leveler as Palace run away with the three points.
The result propelled Palace to 10th on the table while Watford leapfrog Bournemouth to 17th after 29 games.
Ayew has scored 8 goals and tallied 1 assist in 29 league games.
It is Ayew’s best scoring record in the English top-flight league in terms.
