Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is hoping to translate his scoring form for the Black Stars to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

The 27-year-old former Olympique Marseille man struck the opener for Kwesi Appiah’s side in the 3rd minute through a clinical low drive before converting from the spot in the 23rd minute to seal a crucial win for Ghana in Addis Ababa.

And, he says he is hoping to translate his scoring form to Crystal Palace where he is yet to score in the 8 Premier League games for Roy Hudgson’s relegation-threatening side.

“I thank the fans for their support and I will keep on working hard and I want to take this to the club level as well so they should keep supporting me and the Black Stars team as well because we need their support because that’s something that’s really important,” he told Ghana Sports Online.

Ghana has qualified for the 2019 AFCON following the 2-0 win in Addis Ababa.

Jordan’s elder brother Andre Ayew also made a return to the Ghana team after a one year absence and he was influential in the sequence of play that led to the penalty that resulted in the second goal.

Captain Asamoah Gyan was unused he watched the entire proceedings from the bench with Hoffenheim’s Kasim Nuhu partnering the experienced John Boye in central defence.
