Naby Keita has attributed his ability to neatly convert the late penalty in the super clash to his high level of confidence.
The Guinean stated that, nothing could explain how he overcame the huge pressure on him as he stepped forward to fire the last shot which brought the Phobians down.
Justice Blay gave Kotoko the lead but Joseph Esso equalized for the Accra based side after the hour mark. Kotoko were awarded a penalty in the dying embers of the match after Mohammed Alhassan handled Matthew Cudjoe's shot inside the 18 yard box. Naby Keita converted calmly to give the Porcupine Warriors the win.
"As for the penalty, it is all about confidence. If you have the confidence, you can score". He told Kotoko Express in a post-match interview.
He added: "Our coach has been speaking to us every day about it. He told us that, if we have a penalty or a free kick, the player with the confidence can take it. I am always confident. That is why I went for it and thankfully, I scored".
