NSA Board Chairman encourages clubs to embrace new media
New media is increasingly becoming an integral part of sports and National Sports Authority Board Chairman Kojo Baah Agyemang, believes the time is right for clubs in Ghana to take advantage in order to improve their operations.
Ghana Premier League clubs including Inter Allies FC, Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC can be mentioned as trend setters in the sector, as they already churn out content to their various support bases through the use of platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The NSA board chair wants the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) to start the conversation that will eventually lead to policies that entrench the use of these methods in Ghanaian top flight football.
“GHALCA should draw the road map to enable clubs pick up pointers in certain areas including the unveiling of players.
“Having a social media handle or Facebook account will enable teams share information with fans.
“These Policies will eradicate the outmoded methods of operating,” he stated at the unveiling of a new logo and mascot for Dreams FC.
