Ghana winger Nana Opoku Ampomah made an injury return to help Waasland Beveren beat Belgian champions Club Brugge on Friday night.
The 22 year old was declared fit ahead of the game on Friday and played full throttle as Waasland came from a goal down to record an impressive 2-1 home win over Clubbe Brugge.
Waasland Beveren had contained the Belgian giants in the first 45 minutes only to be down three minutes after the break, when Ruud Vomer scored for the champions.
Francesco Forte equalised for the home side with twelve minutes left on the clock. The Italian forward scored in the 78th minute after expertly converting from the spot.
With five minutes left, Saulo Decarli's own goal handed the home side an important win.
Ampomah has been influential for Waasland this season, playing 16 games and has scored five goal already registering three assists.
