Bank-roller and owner of King Faisal FC Alhaji Karim Grunsah has declared his intention to contest the presidency of the Ghana Football Association.

The Controversial administrator believes he is the right person to turn around the fortunes of the embattled football administration.

“Just give me 4 years and I will turn around the game for the best. I will change a lot of things when I am the next GFA president,” he said.

Speaking to Accra based Happy Fm, Mr. Grunsah said although the image of the FA has been soiled by the actions of its members, he has the right standing to bring it back to its glory days.

“I am the right person to be the next GFA president. The only thing that will prevent me from contesting next year is sickness.”he added.

He also revealed that, he will make SWAG president, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah his special aide to help manage the association.

“Insha Allahu, I will contest for the GFA presidency in 2019. I am not joking. SWAG president Kwabena Yeboah will be my special aide to help with his big English,” he said.

The government has been working to restore order in Ghana Football. But on the sidelines have been a liaison team set up by FIFA/CAF to steer the country into calm waters. The team is made up of Dr Kofi Amoah and experienced coach Oti Aketeng.

The work of the liaison team will largely culminate in the formation of a Fifa Normalisation Committee for Ghana, which will be a transitional body to, essentially, set up a new FA.

Meanwhile, former Ghana FA vice-president George Afriyie declared his intention to contest for the top job prior to the Anas investigative piece, but it’s unclear whether he still eyes the position after the football debacle.
