Accra Hearts of Oak captain Abdul Fatawu Mohammed made his debut for the Black Stars in the game against South Africa in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers on Monday.
Mohammed got the nod to play full 90 minutes in his debut in the absence of Andy Yiadom who did not make the trip to South Africa because of Covid-19 travel restrictions.
He would be disappointed the match ended in a defeat as the Black Stars were outclassed by the Bafana Bafana at the FNB Stadium.
The right-back could be maintained in the team for next month's doubleheader qualifiers against Zimbabwe.
