We have not been paid since the Anas expose - New Edubiase captain
New Edubiase captain, Stephen Manu has claimed that management of his outfit have failed to honour the players' salaries since the Anas expose, of which they are struggling to understand why.
The country was put in a state of shock due to a documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas dubbed "Number 12" which revealed bad practices in Ghana football.
This led to the decision of newly instituted Normalization Committee truncating the Zylofon Cash Premier League and Division one League.
According to the former Asante Kotoko striker, Stephen Manu, the players of the club are going through hardship and management has paid a deaf ear to their plight.
The lanky forward says they (players) have given management an ultimatum to settle their arrears or else they will take the necessary steps. He further added that efforts to reach bankroller, Abdul Salam Yakubu has proved futile.
“Since the Anas Exposé, none of the Edubiase players has received even ?1 from our team owner or the management,” he told Sunyani-based Metro FM Sports.
“We don’t have any problems with him, but we have given him up to Monday if we, don’t hear from him, he will hear from us,” he warned.
“Our president didn’t tell us about his decision not to let New Edubiase participate in the competition. I tried reaching him on phone but he is not picking my call.
New Edubiase United were on top of the Zone Two table during the Division One League before the league was truncated.
