Togo moves to combat terrorist activity in north
Victims of attack said to be teenagers
The Togolese Army has confirmed mistakenly killing seven teenagers it mistook for terrorists.
All the victims were aged between 14 and 18.
The incident took place last Saturday evening with media reports in the northern region stating that they were on their way back home from Eid-Al-Adha celebrations.
Army chief Dadja Maganawe, in a statement said they had been killed by an army aircraft on night patrol.
The army has in recent times been on high alert following a deadly militant attack in May, the country' first.
The attack resulted in the death of eight soldiers near the border with Burkina Faso.
