The year 2020 has been one of the most difficult for many industries. The effect of the coronavirus was felt globally, altering the fixed schedule of many.
The sporting industry wasn't left out. On the global stage, the virus caused a number of major sporting events like the Olympics Games, PGA Tour, NBA, and the various football leagues to be postponed - some others were canceled entirely.
While the sporting world was licking its wounds, the sporting calendar in the country was also gravely affected. Like the others, games in the Nigerian Profession Football League (NPFL) were postponed for almost 9 months.
Speaking with MyNigeria.com in a special review of 2020, Sports Journalist, Olaleye Idowu joined the team for a chit-chat.
He touched on the major setbacks and take-aways from the world of sports as it relates to Nigeria.
