It was announced earlier today June 4, 2019, that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will hold a joint press conference at exactly 10 am, to finally brief the media on the way forward and a few hours ago, at the Marriot Hotel inside Accra, the two dancehall artists met face to face.

This was the second meeting after their 2019 VGMA fracas but this time, it was for the purpose of peace and tranquility to reign in the industry in a press conference dubbed, ‘Peace Conference.’

The great initiative was masterminded by Dr. Kofi Amoa-Abban, the philanthropist who is the founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, an oil services business with operations across West Africa and GHone newscaster, Nana Aba Anamoah.

Both artists took time to answer questions from the media and the specially invited guests and it was a great delight to see two bitterest enemies finally smoking the peace pipe for the sake of their fans and advancement of the industry.

According to Stonebwoy, he had wanted this peacemaking a very long time ago because musicians are more creative and are able to write good lyrics.

Here’s what he said; “I wanted Peace long ago because us musicians are more creative and are able to write good lyrics when there is Peace of Mind and I believe my brother Shatta Wale also wanted Peace.”

When they (Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy) were asked by Doreen Avio from Multimedia, owners of Joy FM and other subsidiary radio stations, whether this peace will last, Shatta Wale replied,

“The Media brings the division between us. For the peace to last between us, then the media also has a role to play in this. The Media should push us like how other African countries are doing for their Artistes. This guy is better than the other should stop”.

He continued; “Our Peace can only last if the Media stop comparing us and pitching us against each other and rather push us. The media should also play their part.”
