Kwame Kyei, the young man who designed the artwork for Shatta Wale’s Reign Album, in an interview has announced that he is not bothered by rumors that the concept for the artwork was stolen.
Over the weekend, the dancehall king, Shatta Wale unveiled the artwork for his much anticipated album, “Reign” and this has had a huge buzz with fans.
Prominent amongst some comments from music lovers nationwide is that the concept for the cover was stolen from outside sources.
However, Kwame, who spoke to Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM, stated that these, criticisms do not bother him in any way.
“It doesn’t bother me at all that people think it is a copied work, at least I know it has made some impact”, he added.
“I didn’t steal the concept. My inspiration is art. I only blended photo with writing.”, he mentioned.
Kwame further expressed gratitude to the king of the Shatta Movement camp, for the exposure he has given him following the release of the album art.
