MCE inspects schools to ensure compliance to coronavirus protocols

Madam Karley Amui, the Ablekuma Central Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has expressed satisfaction with the safety measures put in place by basic and second cycle schools in the municipality to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic among the students.

She urged parents and guardians to dispel the fear of their children contracting the virus and should allow them to attend school.

Madam Amui expressed the happiness when she undertook an inspection of schools in the municipality to ensure the compliance of the health protocols of the wearing of nose masks, washing of hands and the use of sanitizers.

She gave the assurance that; “Once the learners observe health measures, no calamity would befall them and that the children should not entertain any fears as their safety is intact.”

The Chief Executive advised the students to focus on their learning, be obedient to their teachers and to observe all the guidelines concerning the COVID-19, and should be one another’s keeper.

Mrs Monica Kumahor Ansaba, the Municipal Education Director, some health official and other officers from the Assembly, accompanied the Chief Executive.

She commended the Government for the timely release of the protective logistics and expressed gratitude to the MCE and the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Ebenezer Nartey for their role in the reopening of the schools.

She said 1,467 Basic Education Certificate Examination candidates under her watch were learning for their examination and that a COVID-19 Taskforce was touring the schools to ensure the compliance of the safety protocols.
