The Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is demanding for newer investigations into the controversies surrounding the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) sale of contaminated fuel to Movenpiina an unlicensed company.

The Bureau of National Investigation (BNI), according to the Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko exonerated the MD of the embattled state entity of any wrongdoing.

But the Executive Director of the CDD, Professor Gyimah Boadi, believed otherwise, arguing in a recent media interview that the supposed BNI exoneration of the BOST MD, Alfred Obeng Boateng raises more queries than answers.

He thus called for a fresh independent external probe into the saga to put to rest any doubts from the BNI clearance of the Mr Obeng Boateng.

“I’m hoping that all of that [the BNI report] are skirmishes and that this matter is going to be handled properly, credibly, convincingly and to put to rest any suspicions that we are going to see a repeat of what happened in the previous administration,” he stated noting that he is not satisfied with what he had seen and heard so far.

“And I would be far more satisfied if I say and independent investigation into such an allegation” he added.
