Some Ghanaians will always find a way to break the rules, even if that has the potential to end their lives.

This is the case of a group of men who broke not only the lockdown but also the social distancing directives, to have a little fun at Tesano.

The young men, about 15 in number gathered at the Caza Maza restaurant around 8:00pm on Saturday, April 4 2020, to celebrate the birthday of one of them.

GhanaWeb' checks revealed that some of these men who risked their lives for the celebration, came all the way from Spintex.

They further threw caution to wind as they ate from one bowl, sometimes two people dipping their hands in together and poured drinks for each other with little to no spaces between them.

The party was held outside the restaurant as restaurant owners have been directed to operate just pickup and delivery services.

Ghanaians have been advised to stay home if they have nothing urgent to do in town. When in town the advice is to make sure you don’t get too close to anyone as everyone is a potential Coronavirus case.

The police has further warned that recalcitrant citizens who fail to obey the lockdown restrictions will either taste a 14-year jail sentence or be asked to pay a fine of between GH¢12,000 to GH¢60, 000.

But all these are still not to be enough to keep some people home as more and more people find their way into town daily without an appropriate reason.

Ghana has so far recorded 214 cases of the pandemic, with 5 deaths and three recoveries.

One patient, a Guinean who was in quarantine in Tamale is currently on the run.

Stay home and stay safe, because the virus stops when you stop.
