The Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has revealed that construction works are currently underway for the establishment of a Digital Youth Hub at the University of Ghana.
According to the minister, the hub aims to support the development of skills among the youth in the country to build a vibrant ecosystem.
Speaking at a press briefing as part of the government’s Monthly Economic Update initiative, Dr. Amin Adam said the Digital Youth Hub will further provide young tech entrepreneurs with the necessary environment to interact, collaborate, start-up, and build sustainable technology-based businesses.
“The first phase of this project is expected to be completed in November 2024,” the finance minister pointed out on August 29, 2024.
Dr. Amin Adam said the government remains committed to building on this momentum to propel job creation and develop sustainable technology-based businesses to meet growing demands.
“Looking ahead, we remain focused on building on this momentum. Let me assure you that we will stay the course and remain within the 2024 Appropriation,” the minister concluded.
