Galamsey Fight: NPP group descends heavily on Charles Owusu

A group calling itself, Loyalist of NPP have descended heavily on Charles Owusu, the Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission.

According to them,Mr. Owusu has made some unfounded allegations against,Charles Onuawonto Cromwell Bissue,Secretary to the Inter Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM)

In a statement signed by the group's president, they said,the allegations made by Mr. Owusu on Friday 8th February, 2019 is purely born out of hatred for Mr Bissue.

They described, Mr Owusu’s conduct as 'cynical' and advised him to demonstrate in all sincerity his professionalism and patriotism to the New Patriotic Party.

“This particular behavior of Charles Owusu we believe was borne out of hatred, ill feeling, cynicism and self seeking personal interest. Therefore, we through this medium, are calling justify his inclusion professionally positively and productively, if not he won’t have it easy with us because NPP is bigger than any other individuals”, they noted in the release.

Mr. Charles Owusu on the show alleged that Mr Charles Bissue has been abusing his office to fuel illegal mining activities in the forest under the disguise of a reclamation programme sanctioned by the IMCIM.

President to the group, Baron Kofi Nyarko said the claims are mischievous.

CHARLES OWUSU MUST SHUT UP AND STOP ATTACKING NPP MEMBERS - LOYALIST OF NPP

This vile accusations orchestrated against the person of Charles Onuawonto Bissue, (Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, who doubles up as the Western Regional Secretary) of the ruling NPP spewed by Charles Owusu on Asempa’s EKOSII SEN political talk Show dated on the 8th February, 2019 was rather unfortunate and despicable, and must be condemned by all.

It is of great concern and worry that a PA to Forestry Commission’s CEO chooses this rather unwarranted path to destroy the reputation of the IMCIM by mischievously attacking the person of Bissue.

For Charles Owusu to come on radio to make baseless allegations against IMCIM especially the Secretary without cross-checking his facts, in that manner was rather juvenal. Again, what prevented Charles Owusu, Sir John’s PA to contact the IMCIM Secretariat, in the said allegation? does Charles Owusu understand the cohesion of government agencies? WHOSE INTEREST IS CHARLES OWUSU FIGHTING? definitely not that of the government, so its either his personal interest or that of his pay-masters.

Isn’t it worrying that, Charles Owusu, an avowed (PPP) member, grabs a position in an NPP government, and turns around to bite the government that has kept him employed, where as some genuine party faithfuls who have Ghana’s interest at heart haven’t found their feet, and the likes of Sir John who should know better are applauding Charles Owusu.

The same arrogance from Charles Owusu was displayed against National executives in the person of Sammi Awuku, Nana B and Abdul Ganiyu Mohammed (W/R NADMO Cordinator) in Sefwi Wiawso sometime last year. Equally, Prof Kwabena Frimpong – Boateng ( Minister and Chairman of the IMCIM) got his fair share of Charles Owusu’s insults about four months ago.

In fact, it is only in NPP that a stranger could hold on unto such position and still think he is superior.

This particular behaviour of Charles Owusu we believe was borne out of hatred, ill feeling, cynicism and self seeking personal interest. Therefore, we through this medium, are calling justify his inclusion professionally positively and productively, if not he won’t have it easy with us because NPP is bigger than any other individuals.

In conclusion, we believe Charles Onuawonto Bissue is incorruptible, very committed, dedicated and a hardworking young man whose records and reputation stands tall, when it comes to discharging of his duty.
