Actor turned politician John Dumelo, has allayed suggestions that he is undertaking some current developmental projects only to score political points to boost his chances of winning the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2020.
Mr Dumelo, while reacting to a video showing him pulling a ‘borla’ truck on Twitter said unlike other politicians who embark on such activities to solicit votes, he is a different ‘type of person who walks his talk.’
In a related post, he explained that the video was taken during a clean-up exercise with some youth at Mempeasem in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
Reacting to similar a post which indicated that what the aspiring Member of Parliament has started is the ‘default attitude’ of politicians anytime they need votes, he wrote; “I’m a different type. I walk my talk.”
Mr Dumelo in other related posts cautioned Ghanaians to desist from categorizing genuine politicians from power-hungry politicians who embark on such activities for votes.
To further prove his point, he cited an instance where he joined the youth of Tamale for a similar cleanup exercise in 2009.
Ever since he made his intentions about running for a political office known, the newly elected aspiring MP has constantly shown his commitment to supporting the youth in the society as well as transforming the society in his own way.
