NPP Deputy Secretary for Korle Klottey, Faisal Ibrahim Cisse has noted that newly elected NPP candidate for Korle Klottey, Prince Debrah is ready to unseat the incumbent member of parliament for the constituency, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings in the upcoming 2020 polls.

According to him, the sitting MP who won on the ticket of the NDC is at the moment warming up to vacate her seat for the ‘grassroot boy’, Prince Debrah to takeover.

Speaking to GhanaWeb after the NPP Primaries which was held on September 29, 2019 at the YMCA hostel in Accra, Mr Cisse said “2020 elections is going to be between the daughter of the former president and the grassroot Osu boy. The NPP in the Korle Klottey is solidly united behind Prince so the Osu boy is going to uproot the daughter of the president from parliament”.

He also revealed that NDC’s Dr Zanetor, in her three-year tenure in parliament has not been productive in tackling sanitation issues in the constituency, adding that, she has underutilized the MPs common fund allocated for the constituency.

Faisal Ibrahim Cisse said, “It is very sad that three years into her administration as a member of parliament, she hasn’t been able to do much for the constituency in terms of flood, sanitation…and if her excuse will be that she’s the member of parliament whose party is not in government, then I want to put it to her that that is not a good reason”.

Making reference to what some NDC parliamentarians have been able to do for their constituency, citing MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as an example, Mr. Cisse said, “We are aware of how much money he has invested in constituency few days ago. He spent almost GHC100,000 for his constituency”.

“If he’s been able to do it, why is Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings not able to do same for the people of Osu, Adabraka, Tudu”, NPP Deputy Secretary for Korle Klottey quizzed.
