Does it make sense to off load the functions of the nation's sole supplier of electrify to a foreign monopoly? And for twenty five years? A nation where over thirty per cent of the populace do not earn $ 1.00 per day. Anyone who has even contemplated doing this in Ghana must be a nation wrecker.

Mahama is sitting down for the U. S. company to take over our strategic asset for 25 years. Why didn't the U. S. make the same request when they gave Ghana USD547million for the first compact? It is because they see Mahama's gov't as a willing participant in the fraud that they want to visit on the people of Ghana. If the gov't pays all it owes ECG and VRA, we will not need the USD500million that the U. S. and the IMF are giving us for which they are taking over our strategic assets. Regardless of whatever happens our water and electricity sectors should not be given away to foreigners like this. The best way out is: Gov't should pay all its debt owed to ECG, GWCL and VRA, take of its political hands from the appointment of the top hierachy of the three companies and float shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange. Then we shall see real progress and wonderful results. What the gov't intends to do now will send Ghana into perpetual servitude and leave us in eternal bondage.

We are not talking about "high tariffs", we are talking about Mahama not taken over the whole Ghana (ECG) which supplies Ghanaians electricity like he did to Merchant bank. Ghanaians will rise and demonstrate against any foreign company who becomes proxy for Mahama and his associates.

Yes we hate any Mahama deals, but this has nothing to do with Mahama. it is for the Ghanaian people who are tired with all the suffering caused by ECG. this will help
