GSE slips in quiet trading

Accra, Sept. 1, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, slipped in quiet trading on Thursday under pressure from the loss of British American Tobacco. The index lost 7.81 points at 4,834.52 points from 4,842.33 points on Wednesday.

Change for the year-to-date ended worse at -28.89 per cent. There were four price changes three up and one down. Enterprise Insurance Limited gained three cedis at 5,010 cedis, Fan Milk Limited was better by two cedis at 15,042 cedis and Mobil Oil Ghana Limited inched up by one cedi at 38,012 cedis. British American Tobacco lost 300 cedis at 3,200 cedis.

Shares traded were better at 94,900 from 59,000 on Wednesday. Market capitalisation slumped at 91,922.91 billion cedis from 92,013.53 billion cedis from 3,393.18 million shares.
