Ghana Stock Exchange opens week flat

The GSE Composite Index began the week flat at 1,928.66 with a year-to-date return of -14.55% while the market capitalization stayed at 53.41 billion.

Accordingly, the GSE Financial Index recorded no gains or losses, closing at 1,800.26 with a -10.86% year-to-date return while the SAS Manufacturing Index remained unchanged at 2,656.40 with a year-to-date return of -23.70%.

Trading activity weakened as 13,042 shares valued at GH¢7,085 changed hands from 3,173,677 shares valued at GH¢5,253,586 in the previous session.

Ecobank Transnational dominated trades by volume, accounting for 53.67% of the total volume traded while GOIL Company dominated trades by value, accounting 38.10s% of the total value traded.

We expect activity levels to increase in the next session.
