A former head of Operations of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzo, was on Monday, November 4 detained at the BNI for well over seven hours, his lawyer has said.
ACP Agordzo was invited via WhatsApp, lawyer Martin Kpebu revealed, by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
Speaking on TV3’s News @10, Mr Kpebu said BNI’s interrogation was “ridiculous” as his client was questioned on comments, which many other Ghanaians have uttered.
One of the comments attributed to ACP Agordzo is that he said conditions are conducive for an Arab spring to erupt in Ghana.
He spoke in connection with the unemployment situation in the country.
“This is something that we have all said before,” lawyer Kpebu told host Paa Kwesi Asare.
