Suspected armed robbers have shot and killed a police officer Corporal Duku Nicolas who was on escort duty at Bogoso in the Western region.
The robbers took away some GHC900,000 from Rajinde Singh, an Indian businessman at his office at Bogoso where the attack happened.
According to the Police, a Nissan Rogue with registration number GE 411- 16 which the robbers used has been abandoned at the outskirts of Oppong Valley. There was no other casualty.
“The Tarkwa Divisional and Prestea District Patrol Teams together the members of the community are combing the areas for the robbers. All checkpoints have been alerted,” a police statement noted.
