A Ghanaian woman believed to be in her 30s has been arrested in India’s district of Hyderabad for attempting to sell contraband substance in the city.

Genevive Alando Oketch was arrested in her hotel in Somajiguda, on a tip-off, while she was attempting to sell 50 gram of cocaine and 10 ecstasy pills, weighing 10 gram.

Investigations show that her customers included IT employees and students from Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills, according to reports. Oketch arrived in India on a tourist via and has been based in Goa since October 2018.

Her visa is expected to expire in March 2019.

Police have established she had travelled to Hyderabad earlier in November last year, and sold about 30-gram of cocaine to customers in the city.
