Police are yet to give further official comment on the kidnap of the two siblings
A man in his thirties is in the grips of the Ashanti Regional Police for kidnapping two siblings in Kumasi.
The victims, Abraham Osei and Lois Osei, both pupils of the KNUST Basic School did not return home from school on Friday, May 18,2018.
According to the parents, when they were searching for their wards, the suspect called them, demanding an amount of GHC2,000 before the release of the kids.
The worried parents then lodged a formal report at the KNUST police station over the matter.
An investigation was further initiated leading to the arrest of the suspect at his hideout at Agogo in the Asante Akyem North District.
XYZ News understands that the suspect has been detained at the Ashanti regional police headquarters assisting with investigations and the kids given to their parents.
Police are yet to give further official comment on the matter.
